Located 11 miles South of Seattle, Renton sits right off Highway 405. The town has 5 retail marijuana shops within it’s city limits available to the over 90,000 inhabitants in town. Shops like The Evergreen Market, Emerald Haze, and Clutch keep the town happy and relaxed.
One super cool thing about the town is that Renton is home to the NFL Seahawks training center, the world’s largest indoor training facility. At 200,000 square feet, and sitting right on the Southern edge of Lake Washington – this facility is truly a sight to behold! Famous athletes Marshawn Lynch, Brandon Roy and Jamal Crawford own homes in Renton, and spend a good amount of time in the area, so don’t be shocked if you bump into them while out for Pho!
Music lovers know Renton because Jimi Hendrix is buried in in town and there is a beautiful memorial dedicated to his wild and exciting life. Many make the pilgrimage to this site to see the memorial, pay their respects, and occasionally some choose this spot to consume cannabis. While we certainly don’t condone or recommend doing so, you certainly wouldn’t be the first, nor will you likely be the last!
Renton is also loved for its Tuesday evening Farmer’s Markets. Located in Town Square off 3rd St, the markets are open from June through September and last from 3 PM to 7 PM and feature fresh fruits and vegetables from across the state, as well as locally produced arts and crafts made in town. These markets are the best for grabbing some of the tastiest sweet corn and blueberries available, so be sure to go check out the market!
