Located 91 miles North of Seattle, Oak Harbor has 1 retail marijuana shops within its city limits and is home to over 22,000 inhabitants.

Located on Whidbey Island, Oak harbor is a small community that owes its growth to the Deception Pass Bridge in 1935. The bridge connects Whidbey Island to Fidalgo Island and effectively made Oak Harbor accessible to the public. The town also grew as a result of the opening of the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. This facility brought many to town and offered housing for military members and an air field that was used primarily for practicing landing patterns.

With public beaches and state parks open to the public, the city is very water activity focused. A nice segue from Seattle to the San Juan’s or Mt. Baker, Oak Harbor is a beautiful city to stop and have a nice cup of coffee while over looking Deception Pass.

Consider checking out Oak Harbor soon if you’ve never been. It is a great place to relax and unwind!
