THE FIRE HOUSE
THE GREEN SHELF
Easily the best live music venue in the world, the 27,500-person Gorge Amphitheatre overlooks the Columbia River in George, Washington. First opened in 1986, the venue has seen the world’s biggest acts, including multi-day festivals throughout the year. While the Gorge is 150 miles east of Seattle, the drive is a beautiful trek and well worth the effort. If you are more adventurous the venue allows camping for up to 24 hours or until 12 noon the next day, after the event. The actual layout of the venue is incredibly scenic, allowing the viewer to watch a concert while overlooking the river and canyons behind the stage.
