Pot Stores Made Convenient for Seatac Travelers
Des Moines, Washington, 21 October 2014 – The legalization of Cannabis has provided a tangible boost to Washington Tourism. Located only 5 miles from the SeaTac Airport, Greenside Recreational is the first cannabis store to directly target visitors as they fly in from out of state.
“Our location is ideal for helping travelers who fly into Seattle”, says owner Seth Simpson, “We are interested in attracting Cannabis tourists in a way that is convenient for them.”
Greenside has partnered with Kush Tourism to help provide transportation services directly to their store for Cannatourists.
Greenside’s roots lie in Medical Cannabis. Since the implementation of I-502, owners of Medicinal stores are starting to feel the pressure from recreational Cannabis stores. After serving the medical Marijuana community in Seattle for four years, owner Dave Ahl recognized I-502’s agenda for more restrictions on the Cannabis industry.
“This is not just a transition from medical to recreational,” says Dave. “This is a step for more regulation” because of the initiative. Although they are expanding to cater to recreational use, Greenside intends to serve the medical community as long as possible.
The City of Seattle seems to agree with Dave – they just issued a memorandum stating that businesses conducting “Major Marijuana Activity” without a state issued license “can be subject to enforcement action”. With all the new rules written into I-502 Medicinal Cannabis might be obsolete in this area by 2015.
You can legally purchase the first packages of Marijuana from Greenside this Saturday the 25th at their Grand Opening.
