Ranked as one of the top ten Aquariums in the United States, the Coast Aquarium sits on the Pacific, in the town of Newport. Opened in 1992, the aquarium was a temporary home for Keiko, the famed killer whale that starred in “Free Willy.” Resting on 23 acres of land Filled with creatures from the Oregon coast and the Pacific Ocean, the Aquarium sees over 450,000 visitors annually.
