One of the most photographed area of the Puget Sound, the bridge sits 80 miles south of Seattle, connecting Whidbey Island to Fidalgo island. Built as a Washington State highway project, started in 1934 and completed in 10935, the bridge sees 20,000 cars every day. With a length of 1,487 feet, the bridge is just over a quarter-mile long, spanning over the water. Quintessential in the founding of The Naval Air Station Whidbey Island and an economic driver for the Oak harbor area, the bridge is a must see for those on a road trip, or if you are just passing through!
