|Alki Beach is a popular long beach strip that runs from Alki Point to Duwamish Head on Elliott Bay. A 2.5 mile walk along the water is enjoyed throughout year. Alki is pronounced Al (sounds like the first name) + ki (sounds like “high”). Alki is West of the city, just fifteen minutes from Downtown Seattle by car. Visitors can also take the King County Water Taxi or “Foot Ferry” for a picturesque approach. In the summer Alki is a great place for jogging, rollerblading, volleyball, beachcombing, sunbathing, bicycling and walking while enjoying the sun.The park is open from 4 am.-11:30 pm
