The store takes quality very seriously, to the extent that they do their own independent rigorous testing, random grow inspections, and more to guarantee that a portion of the products they sell are not only grown in an environmentally conscious manner, but also are as safe as possible for consumers. Another aspect of certification is freshness, if the packaging date is more than 45 days from the date of delivery, it will not be certified.
If a provider can pass all of Origins’ inspections, they will be deemed worthy of the Origins Certified designation, and customers will get that warm and fuzzy feeling of knowing that what they are buying is 100% legit, and pesticide free. While the items in the shop that DO receive the Origins Certification is only about 10% of the entire inventory, owner Sean Miller says that these items typically sell much faster than those without the certification. “Some of our customers are really health conscious, and we want them to know exactly what they’re putting in their body, and feel good about that,” Miller said.
Customers also love having an online menu that they can peruse prior to coming into the shop so they can have an idea of what to inquire about when they do arrive. This not only speeds up the process, but it also helps educate the public about the effects of each product that is for sale, and their menu is organized by the desired effect of each strain.
Located at 4800 40th Ave SW in West Seattle, the shop is open 7 days a week, from 9a-11:30p Monday-Saturday, and 9a-8p on Sundays.
