Salem Marijuana Information
Salem is the state capital of Oregon, with a population of 160,000, boasting 20 legal marijuana dispensaries like Brown pig LLC, 7 Leaf LLC, and Ancient Remedies LLC. On August 13th/14th Salem held the very first Marijuana Growers Fair, where growers from around the state could display their trophy pot strains. There was even a competition for best buds.
Outside of the government the economy is based heavily on local farming communities and food processing plants. Salem is also home to Willamette University, the oldest American University in the Western United States. One of the biggest cultural activities and traditions are the many “farmers markets,” that happen in and around the city, quite literally every weekend. The biggest farmers market being the Salem Saturday Market, which as it sounds, is every Saturday, was rated in the top 10 things to do in Salem, Oregon by tripadvisor.com
With access to large parks such as Willamette Mission State Park (1,680 acres) and the Silver Falls State Park, there is a large outdoors community that engages in hiking, biking, and horseback riding. With the Pacific Ocean to the west and the cascades to the east, the visuals are stunning, the pot is plentiful, and so is the local food.
