Unless you’ve been living under a rock your whole life, you probably already know that Lake Tahoe is a major tourist destination. With the beautiful lake, nearly year-round skiing and hiking, live music, gambling, and myriad other opportunities the town offers, Lake Tahoe can now add recreational cannabis to that list.
This is a big deal, because for the first time in history you can go buy cannabis products on your way to the lake, or on your way back from the slopes, when you previously had to make a significant drive to make legal purchases without a medical card.
The Big News:
On Saturday August 5th, NuLeaf Incline Village will open their doors at 11 a.m. at their new Incline Village location for the first time. The new shop is located at 877 Tahoe Boulevard, and Lake Tahoe, Nevada, and Northern California residents are invited to come participate in the grand opening party! There will be several dignitaries and VIP in attendance, and adults over the age of 21 are welcome to come make purchases from a wide selection of over 200+ of Nevada’s finest cannabis products.
NuLeaf has been serving the Lake Tahoe area medical cannabis since last year, and has several other locations around the Southwest, so they know how to run a shop. This is likely the reason why they were chosen to become the first licensed recreational shop in the Lake Tahoe area. Their locations are all superbly managed, clean, comfortable, and informative. They put customer service first, and ensure that every customer leaves with a big smile on their face, and a little better than when they arrived.
The Skinny:
The first 50 customers in line this Saturday will receive a free NuLeaf t-shirt, and they will also be able to purchase a pre-rolled joint for one penny. What a deal! There will also be a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. sharp that will be presided over by Washoe County Commissioner Kitty Jung, and the shop will be open until 8 p.m. Starting Sunday, the shop will begin their normal hours of 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
