Six nights ago I embarked on an adventure to go to the Seattle Pipe Masters Collab . HAHA I sat in my car almost hyperventilating over the idea that I get to meet some the most sought after glass artists of the world. Once I got over my silly fandom, yes I giggled, squealed even did jazz hands from the pure joy (I’m not ashamed).  I wondere20141020_191700d around a bit in awe. I may never get over the awe I have towards these men and women. Does one simply get over Picasso?

So many questions I have about techniques. Patiently and quietly, I stand back and watch the masters. OK I wasn’t really quiet; there were audible gasps and giggles.

Speaking of patience, this guy he goes by the name Doshworld. I’m fascinated by the way he is able to perfectly place an orb within the perfectly placed horns. Better yet, how he places that orb so well, it dances when the pendant moves. Pure magic!

Oh this makes me think of Jolex, and those galaxy marbles and pendants he does!! Each planet has such detail and depth. The amount of concentration he has when making these was fun to watch. I was lucky enough to be there at the right time to see the massive disc he created for the collab between him and Marcel Braun.  OMG amazing!!
