Weymouth Marijuana Information
Shops In Weymouth (Map)
With a population of about 53,743, the city of Weymouth is the 23rd largest in that state of Massachusetts. The city was officially incorporated in 1635, which wasn’t long after Plymouth was originally settled. With such an old city, they have a rich history that can be fascinating to learn more about.
When the city was first settled, it was ran by 60 men from London who had not properly planned for how to successfully build a colony. They were unprepared, and didn’t have the supplies, resources, or know-how to get through it alone. Those in Plymouth couldn’t give up their supplies for the new settlers in Weymouth, so those in the new city had to resort to stealing from the Native Americans. And such begins a long-standing history of European settlers moving in and treating those who stood in their way like garbage.
There were many famous people who grew up or lived in Weymouth over time, and some of them include: Abigail Adams – the wife of U.S. President John Adams, famous drug smuggler and inspiration for the film Blow – George Jung, Booker T. Washington, and even Frank Lloyd Wright lived in town for a few years.
Unfortunately there are currently no medical marijuana dispensaries located in town, but with the recent legalization of marijuana for recreational use in the state of Massachusetts, we hope that it will mean that some recreational shops will open their doors to the public in the area in the near future!
