Malden Marijuana Information
In Malden (Map)
With a population of about 59,450, the city of Malden is the 17th largest in the state of Massachusetts. The town was officially incorporated in 1649, and started off a densely forested area, but today has grown to be more of a residential space.
A little over a decade ago in 2004, Malden made headlines when they allowed the first same-sex marriage in the United States. Massachusetts was the first state in the country to legalize the act, and we commend them for bravely stepping forward into a brave new world with a bit more equality. This groundbreaking moment in American history has contributed to creating a better country.
While much of the town is residential, there still are over 30 parks located in town, and these offer a wide variety of opportunities to get outdoors and explore! There are tons of different sporting and recreation fields/courts/playgrounds and more. Fellsmere Pond is a popular location to get outside and take a walk by the water, it is super peaceful out there.
Many notable people hail from the town of Malden too! Ever heard of a little band called Extreme? More than Words to show you feel, that your love for me is real. Gary Cherone from Extreme was born and raised in Malden, and he even was the vocalist for Van Halen for a short period in the 80’s. Pretty cool though! Also, Norman Greenbaum, the musician known for his hit song “Spirit in the Sky,” was also from town. There must be something in the water here causing musicians to put out pretty much only one great hit. Either way, pretty cool they’re both from the same place!
Unfortunately there are currently no medical marijuana dispensaries located in town, but with the recent legalization of marijuana for recreational use in the state of Massachusetts, we hope that it will mean that some recreational shops will open their doors to the public in the area in the near future!
