Haverhill Marijuana Information
Shops In Haverhill (Map)
Haverhill is the 15th largest city in the state of Massachusetts, and they have a population of about 60,879. The town was officially incorporated in 1870, and sits near the northeastern border of the state. Haverhill began as a mill town after the nearby Merrimack River was dammed and trenches were dug to utilize water power. The town is known for its production of shoes and hats along with textiles and other goods.
After the mills and factories eventually shut down in more recent times, some of the historic downtown facilities were then turned into loft-style housing locations. As a result of this, more people are starting to reside downtown where historically the main production hubs had been located.
Even though some of the old mill and factory sites have been repurposed, many remain intact and preserved as registered historical sites, and can be toured! There’s even a part of town that is known as the Main Street Historic District, and it is super cool to see where the town came from and how it grew to be what it is today.
Downtown Haverhill has 22 different restaurant offerings, so there is a variety of different options to choose from. Considering the location, we recommend you try some seafood – we hear they’re kinda known for it out this way…
Unfortunately there are currently no medical marijuana dispensaries located in town, but with the recent legalization of marijuana for recreational use in the state of Massachusetts, we hope that it will mean that some recreational shops will open their doors to the public in the area in the near future!
