Shops In Framingham (Map)
With a population of about 68,318, the town of Framingham is the 14th largest city in the state of Massachusetts. The town was officially incorporated in 1700, and has grown steadily along the banks of the Sudbury River. Framingham saw a huge increase in size right after World War II, and has been a fairly residential area ever since. Before housing numbers increased, the area was mostly known for their agricultural pursuits, but the farmland turned into a bustling metropolitan area.
There are many public parks and other areas featuring natural offerings to be explored in town. Some of the most popular areas are Bowditch Field and Butterworth Park. These areas are great for sporting events or recreation. Both feature many fields and courts for all types of sports enthusiasts.
If you’re more into arts and culture than getting sweaty, The Amazing Things Art Center and the Framingham Community Theater are two great resources for you! The art center always has new exhibits and events, and the theater puts on some incredible performances! It’s always great to see a town provide its citizens with outlets for personal expression, and also opportunities to encounter thought-provoking topics.
Unfortunately there are currently no medical marijuana dispensaries located in town, but with the recent legalization of marijuana for recreational use in the state of Massachusetts, we hope that it will mean that some recreational shops will open their doors to the public in the area in the near future!
