I’m bummed. Yup. There is only two more nights left of the 1st annual Pipe Masters Collab at 7 Point Studios. So far I’ve spent 9 nights enjoying the fine art of glass blowing.
Here I am today. Enjoying the ride of my life. The last few nights have been pretty rad. Between the torches, various kinds of music playing and the chitter chatter between artists. I am a pretty happy observer. I can’t help but get lost in the magic of the molten glass. I really enjoy how the water buckets sound when a chunk of hot glass is dipped. It does a sizzling effect and then you can hear the cracking of the glass as it cools. Ha, I’m a dork.
Last night was free night. I got there late since I had to work but that’s not a big deal. When I walked in I noticed there was a good amount of people there. As I rounded the corner I was greeted with hello’s and hi five’s! At this point I just cannot hide my happiness -smile- !!
Much of what I’ve been doing this week has been spent wandering around watching the different glass artist do their thing (in awe). A few of them have asked me if I’m bored, I giggle and say with the utmost assurance, um no! Youtube videos are nothing compared to live glassblowing.
Come on by the studio tonight, I would love to see your faces as happy as mine!
