If you are looking to get a job in the medical marijuana industry it might be helpful to have your Medical Card for that state. Plus it will also open up many more doors, literally. You will finally be able to get past the lobby of the oh so many buildings with green crosses on them that are starting to outnumber Starbucks.
UPDATE: You do not need a medical card to visit a recreational cannabis shop in Washington. I would recommend stopping by your local shops and dropping off a resume. You can also try craigslist.
For Washington you will need to:
1. Obtain a Washington Drivers License or other State ID
2. Visit a Clinic like The Hope Clinic
3. Apply for cannabis jobs or submit your resume to a staffing company such as Viridian Staffing
There is plenty of work to be done in the Cannabis Industry, and there are job fairs and staffing agencies specifically for it. Start visiting industry meetings and events like the ones that the MJBA hosts or even Cannabis Tech for a more specific focus. Job fairs are even starting to pop up so it’s important to keep a close eye on upcoming events that peak your interest.
