Yes the laws for local are somewhat different than laws for visitors. Medical marijuana is legal Washington D.C. and recreational marijuana for adults was legalized in November 2014. You cannot get your medical marijuana card if you are not a Washington D.C. resident. But you can buy recreational marijuana if you are adult (21 years or older). Adults 21 and older may possess up to two ounces or less of marijuana. Please do not possess above the limit and transportation to others states is not allowed.

Voters passed the original medical marijuana laws in November of 1999, revisions came in 2002 to increase the amount of marijuana a patient could have. In November 2009 another revision came which made the registry and also regulated laws for non-profit dispensaries. In 2013 the first 8 dispensaries opened up, one for each of the eight districts.

Well the retail and medical sales tax is 2.9%, special sales tax is 10% and excise tax is 15%There might be differences. I can’t really tell you more because I don’t know if you are asking for taxes as if you want to sell or tax as if you would like to buy a larger amount (we are speaking medical purposes) from Colorado and transport it somewhere else.

  • in reply to: How Did New York Legalize Marijuana? #13312

New York has still not legalized the possession of marijuana, but there are many organizations and legislatures who are working on bills to legalize medicinal marijuana. It has been recorded the NYPD has cut their marijuana arrests in half, but there is still an overwhelming amount of people incarcerated for using or possessing marijuana. In order to pass marijuana, there would have to be several bills passed to regulate it.

Well, if you’re in Golden, Colorado the most obvious thing to do is visit the Coors building and do the whole tour thing. But if you’re just looking for a place to sit down and smoke with a great view, Lookout Mountain is the best of the best. Hike as much as you want, but go the whole way up if you want the full experience. Another idea is the coolest cat in the west, Buffalo Bill’s, grave site. There’s a great view from the top of the hill where the grave site is. And who knows, maybe Bill will show up and smoke with you.

If you are just flying in to the state with marijuana you should be fine. It is only a small fine for possession without a prescription, and it’s rare to be checked coming OFF of a plane. This is all assuming you had no issues at the airport you came from. Keep in mind when flying with marijuana, that TSA agents abide by federal laws and although they do not search for marijuana, if they find it they refer to local law enforcement. So there is still kind of a gray area with flying. Best to avoid it if possible.

Getting close to nature, enjoying privacy and relaxing while smoking a blunt always seems like the right thing to do. So, while visiting Pullman there is one place called Kamiak Butte that you should definitely not avoid. So arm yourself with a few joints and a few friends and take on the amazing hiking routes provided. You might as well come prepared with a tent, since there are plenty of camping spots available and an overnight grill and campfire while having a few beers, smoking and telling funny stories will make the best out of this experience.

Issaquah has a lot of attractions, especially during the day when you can visit ranches and hike up the hills, yet, after getting baked, a hike can be very challenging so I will suggest going for the nightlife. Probably the most appealing thing you can do is visit the Capri Cellars, where you can go for an exquisite wine tasting paired with their charcuterie and cheese platter. But don’t worry, when the munchies hit, you can order a lot more than a simple appetizer in here. Beef, chicken, sea foods and many others are right there at your reach!

Probably my favorite spot to smoke weed in Lakewood, Colorado is Bear Creek Park. This park has something for everyone, and is one of the best spots to smoke weed. There are activities for all the kids and adults, from horse back riding to bike paths and jogging paths. There is even an amazing beach to just lay out on all day and relax. They have paddleboats you can rent and other non-motorized equipment. A ton of birds also call their home in this area so it is great for bird watchers as well! So put up your feet and take a smoke in this great location!

HOH National Rainforest excellent spot to smoke and enjoy the scenery. It lots of thick foliage and beautifully colored trees that are very whimsical to see. This would be a very private location in nature. Stevens Pass is another natural area that is mainly used for hiking trails during the summer, and skiing in the winter. This place has awesome spots to toke by yourself. Lastly, I would advise you to take a visit to Mount Rainier National Park. The coolest part about this location is that is actually a volcano. With beautiful views and many private areas to smoke, I think you’d really enjoy this spot.
