Tumalo Falls in the Deschutes National Forest is a great place to spend the day. I think it’s around $5 bucks to park up there but everything else is free to explore. The falls themselves are 97 feet high and set in a beautifully forested rocky outcropping, which itself overlooks a magnificent valley. It’s a great place to burn down and chill… just make sure to step off the beaten path for a little extra privacy if you go during the busier times of year.
It’s a few miles from Salem but if you’re up for the journey, I’d definitely check out Breitenbush Hot Springs. It’s basically nature’s spa and who wouldn’t want to burn one down and soak in a massive, natural hot tub. You can make it a day trip or if you’re inclined you can even stay overnight in your choice of tent or fully furnished cabin complete with bathroom and comfy bed.
Only a couple miles outside of town is Roxy Ann Peak Trail. I’d definitely recommend it as a hike and a great spot to chill. The trail itself is 4 or 5 miles long so you’ve got plenty of areas to pick from, and plenty of privacy for the times you need it. Sunrise and sunset can’t be beat here, and the trail does allow dogs as well. I’d give it a solid 8.5/10 if you’re looking for an outing.
Tacoma has a great spot in Narrows Park. It’s usually busy during the day but tends to die out around 3-5 in the afternoon. Either way, no one is likely to bother you while you’re there, and the views of the river and nearby bridge (especially lit up at night) can’t be beat. You’ll have almost 40 acres of land to explore, so finding privacy and a suitable view shouldn’t be an issue at all.
If you’re feeling adventurous and don’t mind dodging another tourist or two, I definitely recommend Pittock Mansion, up the wildwood trail. You can get an amazing view of downtown and the mansion ground themselves are nothing to sneeze at, either. They tell you that 5 pm is the outside limit for when the grounds are accessible, but anyone can slip up there unnoticed. Definitely bring a friend.
Hitt’s Hill Park is a great spot that’s fairly secluded and very close to downtown, only a couple minutes southeast of downtown proper. You don’t have far to walk once you get there and you get a breathtaking view of the mountains, lakes, and downtown when it’s lit up at night. You might have a little bit of company on the trails but it’s nothing that can’t be avoided by a quick dip off into the woods. You’re probably not going to be the only person out there smoking, either.
There’s another great spot that’s about an hour outside of town. If you don’t mind a drive and want some of the best nature views in the USA, you can head to Pinard Falls. It’s a short half mile hike from the parking lot to the 105-foot waterfall, which is absolutely breathtaking and usually not too crowded at all.
There’s a great spot if you don’t mind hiking for an hour or two (and that’s your thing) up Spencer’s Butte. It’s a bit of a trek but the view can’t be beat and you’re far enough off the beaten path to get some privacy. Just make sure to check the weather beforehand because you can easily get stuck by a fast moving storm system.
Laws are the same for locals as they are travelers in reference to violations, with low amounts of possession (under an ounce) of marijuana being a fine similar to a traffic ticket. But medical marijuana laws are different, as locals can get a medical marijuana card. Non-Californian residents are not eligible to receive a medical marijuana card in California.
It depends on what your location is, whether you are using legal or illegal means, the certain strain of marijuana, and whether you have a prescription, but in general, marijuana will cost around $10-$20 per gram, $25-$50 per eighth, and $300-$600 per ounce. It is likely that if you have a prescription it would in general be a little bit cheaper.
Are you a cop? If answer is no, I would continue to ask, How desperate are you? I am not certain, but I have a friend that might be more help to you than me. I can’t make any promises though because even though I know a friend with weed, it doesn’t mean he might be willing to help either. Give me a minute and I’ll see if I can get ahold of him.
Head up to Jackson’s Beach and find a beautiful beach with views of Lopez Island. Jackson’s is 2 miles from the ferry landing in Friday Harbor. There are plenty of driftwood logs to perch on. The beach is pretty long and most people hang around the picnic tables near the middle of the beach. Head to the old dock on the left and you will find your sanctuary. There are plenty of places to eat downtown before you go to the beach. Haley’s is a sports bar with a fun atmosphere and plenty of variety. For something quick head to the Hungry Clam or Vic’s for some fried clam strips.
In September of 2014 medical marijuana became legal in the state of New York. People didn’t really start getting prescribed until about December of 2015. The first dispensaries opened their doors on Jan 7th, 2016. As a side note, medical marijuana can not be smoked in the state of New York. Only non combustion means of THC delivery are legal.
Marijuana is illegal in the state of Michigan. Possession outside of the medical marijuana program is a criminal offense and could lead to jail time. There are no special laws for visitors to the state. There is a medical marijuana program that offers reciprocity to states that offer reciprocity to Michigan medical marijuana cardholders.
No. It is not possible to fly with marijuana even if you have a doctor’s prescription and you have a medical condition. It does not matter if you are flying within state, out of state or out of the country, the answer is always no. With the Medical Marijuana Card you can buy it anywhere inside Arizona once you land.
