Planning for an Ottawa Vacation.

Hi guys,
I am planning a trip to Ottawa with my family. We want to attend the Winterlude festival and thus we are planning it for next year February or March.
We don’t want to get into a last minute rush and are willing to reserve the tickets and accommodation as early as possible. On a previous trip to Toronto, I have stayed in a furnished rental condo by Mac Suites and it was really good. A quick Internet search made me realize that they have one condo in Ottawa as well, but not sure if they are in a good location for us to attend the Festival. As I have a personal experience with one of their condos, I prefer Mac Suites, but if someone could give other good suggestions, it will be great.
Anyone knows about their location? It’ll be better if someone could suggest more places to visit near Ottawa.
