I’d like to know what age you can get a medical marijuana card in California.

Since the passing of proposition 215 in November of 1996, anybody in California may be given a medical marijuana card over the age of 18. Now you can also get a medical marijuana card if you are under the age of 18 with parental consent. So as long as you have a parents permission you can possess a medical marijuana card in California.

In order to obtain a medical marijuana card you have to provide documentation that you are over the age of 18 and you live in California. You also have to have documentation from a licensed physician stating the use for the medical marijuana card. Once you have all the documentation you will be able to buy at least 8 oz of medical marijuana.

In the state of California you must be the age of 21 and over to obtain a medical marijuana card. You can get this card by visiting specific doctors in the state. You will need a valid form of government I.D. proving you are aged 21 or older. Many dispensaries moved due to the harsh medical laws in California.

Actually, as many posters earlier stated, the age for Medical Marijuana access is 18+ or with parental consent if you are under the age of 18.

If The Adult Use of Marijuana Act (AUMA) Proposition 64 is passed on the 8th of November, the age limits for medical marijuana likely wont change, but recreational users will need to be over the age of 21 to purchase marijuana once shops eventually open.
