You will be lucky enough to find over 20 marijuana dispensaries in or within 20 miles of Albany, Oregon. Be aware though that some of these dispensaries are medical only and some are both medical and recreational dispensaries. I would suggest calling before you go, depending on your preference. Many of the dispensaries are located near or within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and many tourist attractions. Although you may desire privacy, you may not need it, in fact, there are some areas in Portland where it is very common to smoke pot in public. I suggest checking with your local laws before you light up, however.

My personal favorite spot to smoke in Albany is the Talking Water Gardens. It’s a well maintained garden and park with numerous walkways to putz through and smoke along the way or chill out wherever you’d like. Along the paths there are waterfalls, local interesting vegetation, and information plaques for a little bit of a learning experience too. Waverly Lake Park is extremely pretty as well, if you just want to grab a blanket and sit down by the water and chill out. You can smoke at both spots with respect to people around you, but no need to worry about the legality of it. If you want to do some shopping check out the 4 Seasons Farmers Market while you’re in town as well.
