In Greeley
Clocking in at right around 100,000 people, Greeley is the 12th largest population in Colorado. The University of Northern Colorado and several other colleges call Greeley home, and sit about 50 miles North of Denver, and 32 miles Southeast of Fort Collins.
The city was officially incorporated in 1886, and was named after Horace Greeley, who was the Editor of the New York Tribune, and popularized the phrase: “Go West, young man.” The townspeople focused primarily on farming at first, but the town also later on had one of the first radio stations to broadcast in the USA.
