Another Colorado town that is growing at rapid rates, Evans currently houses just over 21,000 but in the year 2000 only had about 9,000 residents. The town is about 34 miles Southeast of Fort Collins and is about an hour drive from Denver.

The town has an abundance of open space, and is a commuter town for those who work or go to school in its neighboring town, Greeley.

Due to the rapidly rising Hispanic population, there are many fantastic Mexican restaurants to sample. The town also features a restaurant where the main attraction is a burger with the addition of sauerkraut. Locals rave about this sandwich, and it is definitely worth trying – even if you’re luke-warm on sauerkraut.

There are many parks in Evans, and can be fun places to spend the day playing horseshoes or soccer.

There currently aren’t any retail marijuana shops in Evans, but you’re not far from Greeley, and there’s tons of college students around.
