Englewood, Colorado Marijuana Information

The University of Denver, a private college, calls Englewood its home, along with just over 33,000 other residents. The town is the 23rd largest in the state, and is located about 10 miles South of Denver.

Settlement in Englewood began in 1860, when gold was discovered in Little Dry Creek. The founder, WIlliam Green Russell was the first settler, and he even paved the first road up to Denver by himself.

One interesting thing to come out of Englewood would be the Merrill Wheel-Balancing System, which was a method of balancing wheels on automotives that was invented by Marcellus Merrill. This new method of balancing wheels was considered to be a huge milestone in modern engineering.

Englewood has a plethora of art museums and galleries, so be prepared to see some of the most beautiful works to come out of the area. The Museum of Outdoor Arts and Clyfford Still Museum are not to be missed!

If you’re there when the weather is nice, be sure to pack a swimsuit, because the town has options in regards to places to get outside and swim or boat!

There aren’t currently any retail marijuana shops, but with the proximity to Denver, one shouldn’t worry about finding a way to catch a buzz.
