Aurora, Colorado Marijuana Information
In Aurora
Aurora is a mid-sized town located about 16 miles East of Denver, and is the third largest city in Colorado. Aurora is considered by many to be Denver’s largest suburb, with a population of 325,078. The town features many opportunities to get out and explore the great outdoors, and with over 25 marijuana shops to choose from, you won’t have any trouble finding yourself some high-quality product here!
Aurora’s history goes back to the 1880’s when the town was originally founded under the name of Fletcher, which it was named until the Silver Crash of 1893. The town was later renamed Aurora in 1907, and incorporated in 1929.
The town began to grow alongside a blossoming military presence. Lowry Air Force Base and Army General Hospital #21 were both big factors in bringing people to Aurora, especially in the World War II era.
Besides its proximity to Denver, the main reason people travel to Aurora today is for its natural offerings. The town boasts over 100 parks, many golf courses, and a surplus of 6,000 acres of open natural areas. These areas provide citizens and guests of Aurora with countless hours of exploration and exercise.
Aurora is also home to the Star K Ranch, which maintains the Morrison Nature Center, a protected wildlife habitat and butterfly garden. If that sort of thing doesn’t do it for you, the Aurora Fox Theater & Arts Center hosts a wide variety of productions in their intimate 245-seat theater.
Another interesting opportunity Aurora brings to the table resides in the Aurora Sports Park, a facility that hosts many sporting events at all levels. The facility houses 23 full sized soccer fields, and 12 baseball diamonds. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, why not go catch a game?
