Shining Star Over Earth bxp46154h

Cannabis tourism is on the rise in the US, as travelers from all over the world visit places like Washington, Colorado, and Oregon to take advantage of their progressive cannabis laws, and enjoy a little recreational marijuana.

In the modern age, life only seems to be getting faster and faster. We are incredibly fortunate to have access to this plant that can offer us a new, relaxed perspective on our fast-paced lives. Cannabis tourists are now coming from far and wide looking for just that. Whether they want to explore some Woodstock nostalgia, or perhaps come from a country where cannabis is still an extreme taboo and want to experiment for themselves, there are plenty of reasons why the US is fast becoming the premier cannabis tourism destination in the world. People are even traveling across state lines within the country itself,

often discretely, since their social circles may not approve of their cannabis experimentation. What’s more, we are even seeing plenty of people with health conditions traveling to other states to find out if cannabis could help alleviate their symptoms, and even considering permanently moving because it can be so helpful.

Just as the effects of cannabis vary from individual to individual, the same can be said of the many reasons people travel to gain access to this plant. We are all unique and we all have our own reasons, I think in valuing this personal relationship we have grown to have with these plants we will begin to remember how important our relation is with the planet and nature as a whole.

There seems to be a very synergistic energy between cannabis and nature, could it be that as this plant grows from the earth, it has a longing to call us back to the earth. In this way Cannabis plays a vital role in restoring our health as well as our sanity. In this day and age when it seems we are all suffering from Nature Deficit Disorder, this does seem like a possible solution to what ills us.

It has been a refreshing experience at my bed and breakfast to see that people don’t just travel here to smoke themselves into a cannabis haze, but rather they are taking a more philosophical approach to things. They seem to be more driven by a desire to unplug from the hectic world we live in, slowing down the pace and realizing that prioritizing self-care and relaxation is an important part of life- and that can only be a good thing.

The experience of cannabis itself is much like traveling to a new place, too. Our realms of consciousness have been criminally under explored since the hammer of prohibition came slamming down. The desire to explore this kind of travel is seen across the animal kingdom, not only limited to us humans, so it seems it is only natural that, as well as traveling to far-off places physically, we also have an in-built desire to explore the farther flung realms of our minds, too.
