With a population of just over 148,000, The town of Torrance is the 39th largest in the state of California. The town was founded in 1912, and officially incorporated 9 years later in 1921. The town grew as a result of many different industries bringing people to town. The town is a mix of residential and industrial areas, but also featured plenty of agricultural work to be done as well!

Located about 20 miles Southwest of Downtown LA, the town has over a mile and half of beach land, which are a huge draw for the town today! Many people flock to Torrance to swim and surf the day away at Torrance Beach. This beach has it all, and it keeps locals coming back day after day for picnics and recreation.
The town is also home to the South Coast Botanic Garden, which features a wide assortment of plant life and flowers that fill the air with the delicious aromas of pristine nature. The garden has some of the most vivid and vibrant colors in nature, and truly is one of the most serene places in the area. Horticulturalists and garden enthusiasts make the trek from all over the globe to come take in all that the South Coast Botanic Garden has to offer, and we think you should check it out!
