Thousand Oaks Marijuana Information
Dispensaries In Thousand Oaks
With just over 129,000 residents, Thousand Oaks is the 43rd largest town in the state of California. Sitting about 35 miles away from Downtown LA, the town was officially incorporated in 1964, though before that time was a popular area for seeing wildlife entertainment shows at a now defunct facility that was once known as Jungleland USA.
The town struggled initially after incorporation due to the nearby attractions of Disneyland and also Knott’s Berry Farm, but has rebounded and today serves as a mostly residential area with several natural areas to explore. There is also an abundance of wildlife nearby, so birdwatching and animal viewing is a fun activity that many participate in the area, so bring your binoculars!
Some of the most beautiful spots in town include the Gardens of the World and Wildwood Park. The former boasts having plants and trees from many different locations all over the world, and serves to teach the people about the horticultural capabilities we have developed today where we can grow plants here that wouldn’t be able to survive on their own.
Wildwood Park is over 1,700 acres and has a bunch of different trails for hiking and biking. These trails are a great place to go birdwatching and lose yourself in nature while still being near to the hustle and bustle of downtown LA.
Unfortunately there currently are no retail marijuana shops in Thousand Oaks, but because the Adult Use of Marijuana Act was passed on November 8th, maybe some recreational shops will open in the near future. Check back here to see what comes next for Thousand Oaks.
