The beautiful coastal town of Oceanside, California sits just South of the famous Marine Corps base, Camp Pendleton. The town forms a tri-city area along with towns Vista and Carlsbad. With a population of just over 175,000, the town is the 26th largest in the state, and is loved by many for its beach community vibe.
The town is considered the North Shore of San Diego, and still maintains the laidback beach town mentality. A ton of the businesses in town are water related, and they rake in tourism dollars year round. The town has an average temperature of 70 degrees every day of the year, and have plenty of places to swim, fish, boat, kayak, stand-up paddleboard, and every other water activity you could ever imagine.
Those who love craft beer also love Southern California for the wide variety of microbrews and tap rooms. Oceanside has over five craft breweries in town, and they will surely have something you’d like to try!
There currently is only one medical marijuana dispensary operating in Oceanside, but the Adult Use of Marijuana Act was passed in November 2016, so there’s a decent chance that some recreational marijuana shops will open in town in the future! Check back here for more info as it develops!
