Fullerton, California has a population of just over 140,000, and is the 42nd largest town in the state. AFter being officially incorporated in 1904, the town grew as a result of booming agricultural and petroleum extraction industries that thrived there. More recently, the town has attracted the young and knowledge-hungry, with California State University Fullerton and Fullerton College located in town. The result of this is a hip environment with lots of cool scenes to check out!

One thing we particularly love about the town is the Fullerton Arboretum. This facility opened in 2005 and strives to protect the species of trees and plants that grow in the area naturally. They are pristine locations that are great to see the unadulterated beauty of nature and see the interaction of wildlife and their environment. The goal of the facility is to educate and inspire other with all of the wonders of nature that only Fullerton can offer.

Another big draw for the town is the Muckenthaler Cultural Center. The facility hosts performing arts as well as galleries with rotating lineups of events and exhibits. In addition to taking in all the sights and sounds of the creative community, you can even join them yourself! The Center also offers a wide variety of classes to the public, so you can find your inner-voice with the help of those who are more experienced in the arts of expression! Also, the center is only closed 6 days a year, so chances are that it will be open when you’re there!

Unfortunately there are currently no retail marijuana shops in Fullerton, but because the Adult Use of Marijuana Act passed on the 8th of November, hopefully some recreational shops will open and adults over the age of 21 will have access to legal cannabis.
