ABC News recently released an article that California is looking to legalize in 2016. This is perfect timing with the upcoming presidential election! So many more states have hopped on board to legalize medical and recreational marijuana since the last election that it is looking to be more of a political suicide to not support cannabis rather than to support it.
During the 90’s and even the early 00’s it would have been a deal breaker as a politician if you publicly endorsed the legalization of marijuana. Now since so many states are on board the tides seem to be shifting. Congratulations America! We are seeing the end of an ERA. Colorado and Washington are already starting to consider the current time frame as Post Prohibition, but we all know that Post Prohibition actually starts when we reclassify marijuana and remove it’s Schedule 1 status.
