Calgary Marijuana Information

With a population of about 1,096,833, the city of Calgary is the largest in the province of Alberta, and the 4th largest city in all of Canada. The city was officially incorporated in 1894, and its founding occurred not too long beforehand in 1875.

The city prospered greatly when natural oil was discovered in Alberta. The city struck it rich in 1947, though they started looking for oil in 1902. The city didn’t solely rely on oil and gas though, they had already been established for their industrial production and tourism.

Like much of Canada, Calgary is a highly diverse city. The people are super accepting of other races and ethnicities, and there is a greater sense of harmony here. There must be something in the water because even though this city is so large, everyone is friendly, progressive and outgoing.

Calgary has a huge entertainment scene. Many films and television shows are filmed here, so don’t be surprised if you are asked to be an extra in something if you’re in the right part of the city at the right time. The city also has many venues for orchestras as well as popular live music. With all of the opportunities to take in live music, it is a highly popular activity in town. Beyond the music scene, there is also a fond appreciation for the visual and performing arts as well. There are many theaters around town and there is a huge demand for tickets to see the most popular shows.

Calgary is a popular destination for their landscapes too, mostly in the winter though. The skiing in the parts of the Rocky Mountains in the area provide some incredible experiences. Winter tourism is also a huge economy booster for the city.

There are no retail medical marijuana shops in Canada, instead they utilize a system where meds are distributed through the mail or by personal delivery. That being said, we haven’t yet started a Calgary dispensary map & directory, but when recreational shops do start opening, we will definitely create one, so keep your eyes peeled for more once the legalization does occur.
