Home to the University of Oregon and their beloved Ducks, Eugene sits about 50 miles east inland from the coast. Eugene boasts a strong 29 marijuana dispensaries for a population of 160,000 citizens and students – that is a great amount of options. The official slogan of Eugene is “A Great City for the Arts and Outdoors,” so hiking, biking, rafting, kayaking, running, art fairs, museums, and theaters are plentiful. With so many cultural offerings as well as gorgeous nature, Eugene is definitely a great place to visit!
One of the most well known Eugene events is the Oregon county fair, which happens 13 miles east of the city in the woods. Known as quite a “hippie-like” event, it’s a big party but with a focus on arts & crafts, music and fun. Ninkasi, a local brewery that has grown to become the 36th largest microbrewery in the united States, typically brews specialty microbrews for the event, which are always fun and tasty!
